Jan. 16, 2017

Three people were arrested at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford on allegations that they purchased numerous vending machine items with someone else’s student ID card, according to CR80News.

Court records revealed that a university student reported her campus ID card lost. It was later discovered that between the time the card was lost and the new one was activated, someone had made $71.25 in vending machine purchases. Security footage showed two of the suspects using the stolen card to make the purchases, while the third suspect was seen pointing to items in the machine and hitting the “select” button.

All three men have been charged with access device fraud and conspiracy to commit access device fraud along with theft of lost property.
