Vending Machines To Replace Café Option In Michigan Library

Aug. 31, 2016

The St. Clair Shores, MI, public library will be home to several new vending machines in the next few weeks. According to C&G Newspaper, the city is making a change in the Friends of the Library Gift Shop and Café space after it has seen five café operators close their doors since 2002. Corporate Dining, Inc., which won the three year contract, will provide a 20 percent flat-fee commission to the city (minus any bottle deposits).  A hot beverage machine serving Seattle’s Best Coffee will be installed, in addition to a cold beverage machine and a snack machine for ‘healthy’ snacks, the source reports.

The machines will accept cash as well as debit and credit cards.
