Updated: Pop-Tarts mascots vie to be game-winning snack for the college bowl victors

Pop-Tarts is introducing three new frosted faces to serve as mascots and compete for “ultimate pastry glory,” being served as the game-winning snack for the Pop-Tarts Bowl victors.

UPDATE: Pop-Tarts has revealed fan-favorite Frosted Cinnamon Roll as the mystery flavor. The three flavor mascots will "compete" to win the ultimate prize: being eaten by the winning team at the Pop-Tart Bowl. In addition, the "highly requested flavor" will return to store shelves nationwide.

While the Bowl's MVP will ultimately choose which Edible Mascot turned post-victory snack, fans can vote at PopTarts.com/Bowl until the end of the fourth quarter at the Pop-Tarts Bowl on December 28. To help the MVP decide, the fan vote results will be shown on the jumbotron in the stadium at the end of the game.

Fans who match the MVP's final pick will be entered into a random drawing to win a memorialized piece of the winning Edible Mascot along with a year's supply of Pop-Tarts toaster pastries.

College football fans will long remember Frosted Strawberry Edible Mascot, the spoils for victors Kansas State during the first Pop-Tarts Bowl in 2023. This year, Pop-Tarts is introducing three new frosted faces to serve as mascots and compete for “ultimate pastry glory,” being served as the game-winning snack for the Pop-Tarts Bowl victors.

While two mascot flavors have been revealed, Pop-Tarts bringing back a fan-favorite flavor — to the shelves and to the field — as an Edible Mascot for the Pop-Tarts Bowl. On its Instagram page, Kellanova revealed its returning-flavor contenders and offered fans a chance to guess.

In addition to the mystery flavor, Frosted Wild Berry and Frosted Hot Fudge Sundae will serve as Pop-Tarts Bowl mascots.

Fans can get in on the action by submitting their guesses of the toaster pastry's identity on PopTarts.com/Bowl. The 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl will be held on December 28 at 3:30 p.m. at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
