The National Coffee Association USA Inc. said it will repeat a 100% virtual format for its 2022 convention, following discussions with NCA members, staff and past participants, among other stakeholders. NCA's online convention will be held from Mar. 8 to 10.
“While we had hoped to see you face-to-face this March, it is simply not a prudent choice to forge ahead given the uncertain trajectory of the ongoing public health crisis,” said an NCA spokesperson. “As you may recall, our 2021 virtual convention was a huge success."
NCA said the virtual format opened the door to many in the coffee industry who otherwise would not have been able to attend an in-person convention, whether due to geography, travel costs, staffing needs or other constraints. The event platform’s networking features fostered business connections (and friendships) across industries and across continents, the association added.
Most convention content will be available to stream on-demand after the live online event is over, including breakout sessions and keynote speeches.
NCA recommended that coffee industry members get on the list to learn when early bird registration opens and the program is announced. Click here to fill out a sponsor and exhibitor interest form.
