Two education sessions at the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) CoffeeTea &Water event Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 18 to 20, at Bally's resort in Las Vegas, address making the right hiring decision and plugging profit leaks.
Both sessions are offered from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011.
Dave McCaffrey, a NAMA Knowledge Source partner and owner of Predictive Assets, will share insights into the process of hiring a new employee. He said that just one idea from his session, “Avoid Hiring Mistakes With 5 Easy Steps,” will save you money and help you make the right hire.
“Typically all hires are interviewed, but only 20 percent turn out to be top performers, while 80 percent turn out to be average or less; I’ll explain what went wrong,” said McCaffrey in a prepared statement.
Fred Parrish returns to this year’s event with additional information that will help attendees keep more of their profits, optimize route sales by tracking sales, and evaluating your coffee service operation. He will be discussing better revenue Management in “Find Your Profit Leaks Part II.”
“Profit leaks exist in every company. Finding and stopping them is critical to building a successful company. Find Your Profit Leaks – Part II will explore more ways to maximize profitability and cash flow by focusing on specific areas in operations and financial management to help owners/managers improve their companies,” said Parrish. Parrish will also lead a best practices roundtable discussion from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
