Quality Coffee Certification Program To Be Given At National Automatic Merchandising Association Coffee, Tea And Water Show On Oct. 18, 2011 In Las Vegas
Attendees to the National Automatic Merchandising Association’s (NAMA) coffee, tea and water show, can take advantage of NAMA’s longest running coffee education program, Quality Coffee Certification Program (QCCP) coffee fundamentals segment.
Coffee fundamentals will be offered Tuesday, Oct. 18 with advance registration, at CoffeeTea&Water 2011, which will be held Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 18 to 20, at Bally’s resort in Las Vegas.
Workshop facilitator Mike Tompkins, CCS, president of Coffee Products Associates, will introduce attendees to basic coffee fundamentals.
Attendees will learn about the history of coffee; the development of coffee flavor qualities from the country of origin; insights into coffee processing, sorting, grading, blending and roasting; and gain a fundamental but extensive understanding of coffee production and manufacturing. Through a series of guided tasting exercises they will experience origin and blended coffees as well.
