As the pandemic winds down and demand for on-the-go meals increases, a leading plant-based food brand is augmenting its breakfast options with five new plant-based breakfast sandwiches and burritos.

Alpha Foods’ new grab-and-go lineup includes two sandwiches and three burritos are made with meatless sausage, plant egg and dairy-free cheese, along with chorizo and spices for the burritos.

Both the sandwich and burrito units weigh 5.5 oz. They ship frozen.

The new items are cholesterol-free, have 16g. of protein, and are produced with non-GMO and vegan-certified ingredients.

Alpha Foods said it developed its breakfast line with more vital iron and fiber than other breakfast brands to deliver an “energizing, two-minute meal that does not sacrifice taste” for vegans, flexitarians and meat eaters.

"We are continuously reimagining convenient, plant-based options for everyone to enjoy during every meal of the day," says Alpha Foods chief executive Cole Orobetz, who added there is a “huge lack” of plant-based breakfast options.
