Amazon To Launch New Grocery Store In Los Angeles In 2020

CNET reports that Amazon will launch a new brand of grocery store in Los Angeles. The store will open in the Woodland Hills neighborhood in 2020 and is being described by the company as "Amazon's first grocery store," noting that it is an alternative to Amazon-owned Whole Foods. Job postings have already been published for the new venture. CNET also reported that the store will feature a conventional grocery checkout system as opposed to an unattended retail outpost like Amazon Go.
