Choose What You Love, Chocolate or Peanut Butter, With New Reese’s Lovers Cups

HERSHEY, Pa., March 25, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Reese’s brand is settling the age-old question once and for all – what’s the best part of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup – the chocolate or the peanut butter? Well, the answer is both (come on, did you really think we could pick? #NotSorry).

The Reese’s brand is letting chocolate fans and peanut butter enthusiasts alike have their choice with new, limited-time only Reese’s Chocolate and Peanut Butter Lovers Cups.  Available beginning mid-April, this new addition to the Reese’s lineup allows fans to make more room for what they love – chocolate or peanut butter.

“For years, we’ve heard people debate their favorite part of a Reese’s Cup.  Is it the chocolate or is it the peanut butter?” said Natalie Perera, Reese’s Brand. “So, we decided to settle the score and make both sides happy by giving them what they want - Reese’s Chocolate Lovers and Reese’s Peanut Butter Lovers. As if we’d actually choose!”

What are you willing to trade for love, Reese’s Lovers?

To kick off the limited-time-only launch of Reese’s Lovers, the Reese’s team is giving fans a first taste of the new Reese’s Chocolate Lovers and Reese’s Peanut Butter Lovers Cups at the Reese’s Swap Shop. At the Reese’s Swap Shop, fans will first have to decide if they are a Peanut Butter Lover or Chocolate Lover, then they can swap something they love for an early taste of the selected Reese’s Lovers Cups.

The Reese’s Swap Shop is open for two days only: Tuesday, March 26 from 12pm to 6pm ET and Wednesday, March 27 from 10am to 6pm ET, at 321 Canal Street in New York City. Reese’s fans can bring in anything they love from an old toaster to their original roller skates, or even their last participation trophy (hey, at least they tried).

In exchange, these lucky fans will receive an exclusive first taste of Reese’s Lovers Cups, which aren’t available nationwide until mid-April.  The exact number of product they get in return? Well, that's for the Reese's team to decide!

Across the two days, the Reese’s team will be swapping over 10,000 new, limited-time-only Reese’s Lovers Cups, while supplies last.

The new Reese’s Lovers Cups will be available nationwide beginning mid-April 2019 in both regular (1.5oz, SRP $1.11) and king size (2.8oz SRP $1.66).
