RENTON, WA – Micro market tech firm Avanti Markets recognized seven organizations for their outstanding performance and accomplishments in 2020. Winners were presented with their awards via video calls with Avanti Markets leadership earlier this month.
“2020 was a difficult year and our operators faced unprecedented challenges. We dedicated our year to supporting, informing and aiding our resilient customers as we navigated this unpredictable year together,” said Avanti Markets president John Reilly.
“All of our operators are worthy of public recognition for their perseverance and fortitude and we appreciate them all,” Reilly continued. “With that in mind, it gives me great pleasure to recognize these special seven operators who accomplished much in the face of adversity,” he added.
And the winners are..
Treasure Valley Vending of Idaho was presented with the Coffee Spotlight Recognition. Founded as a coffee roaster before incorporating micro markets into its operation, TVV has successfully integrated single-cup hot beverage programs into its markets. For TVV, coffee and hot beverages are an important component of the breakfast daypart and the total market experience.
McLiff Coffee & Vending is Avanti’s Rising Star. A new Avanti operator, Texas’s McLiff took on Covid-19 and grew its business in 2020.
Smith Vending won the Customer Appreciation Award for its commitment to the Avanti Markets platform. The Iowa operation’s management team is known for its accessibility, friendly cooperation and willingness to try new things.
Parks Pantry received Growth Performer of the Year honors (with more than 100 markets). Dallas-based Parks Pantry, one of Avanti’s largest customers, added new locations last year, and is expected to open more in 2021.
Epic Breakroom Solutions also won a Growth Performer of the Year award (with less than 100 markets). The northern Utah company distinguished itself last year under new ownership.
Maumee Valley Group accepted top honors as Avanti’s Operator of the Year. Based in Defiance, Ohio, Maumee Valley is also celebrating its 75th anniversary. Avanti applauded the operation’s expertise, innovative spirit and strong support.
In addition to these operations, Avanti honored the National Automatic Merchandising Association for its role in advocating for the industry during the Covid-19 crisis. Avanti’s Micro Market Legislative Advocate award recognized NAMA’s efforts last year.
