Vend product distributor Vistar, a unit of Performance Food Group, and Emerald Brand are expanding their partnership to supply Emerald's disposable items to colleges and universities nationwide, according to a press release.
Emerald's Tree-Free technology and petroleum-free plastics are improving packaging for disposables worldwide. It offers a suite of 300-plus sustainable finished products in the daily essentials category.
With a retail plan-o-gram that’s perfect for the campus c-stores, bookstores and micro markets, students will be able to buy Tree-Free and plant-based sustainable disposables and essentials without leaving the campus, according to Emerald.
"Consumers of all age groups are embracing the sustainability movement by purchasing healthier product options," stated Emerald Brand chief executive Ralph Bianculli Sr. "The partnership between Vistar and Emerald Brand will help accelerate the availability of these sustainable options, most of which is produced right here in the USA, to campuses across America."
Last November, Emerald Brand and Vistar announced a strategic partnership to provide over 50 Emerald sustainable portfolio items to Vistar clients across the United States.
