Vending Machine Malfunction Prompts Emergency Response At High School In Texas

On Wednesday morning, a vending machine at a high school in Amarillo, TX was responsible for a fire department and police response, according to Amarillo Globe-News. Local police and fire departments responded to a fire alarm before 7 a.m. to investigate a smell of smoke. They found the smoke was due to a burned-up compressor motor in a vending machine. There was no fire at the school.
