Vendors Exchange® Stands Together For Leukemia Awareness

Oct. 10, 2017

Cleveland, OH – October 4, 2017 – Vendors Exchange employees rallied together today for childhood leukemia awareness and wore orange in support of one of our own. Ray Kuhar, one of the VE Quality Technicians, has a daughter who is facing Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML). Jessie Kuhar is 11 years old and was diagnosed 4 years ago with this disease. After struggling with the severe side effects of medication used to treat Jessie’s CML, it was determined by her oncologist that she would need a bone marrow transplant.

Acting out our core values is important to Vendors Exchange and employees came together in many ways to support Ray’s family. VE created several events to raise money for her transplant and subsequent medical procedures. First, VE had a dunk tank luncheon where employees could purchase throws at the leadership who was asked to ‘get dunked’. Then for Jessica’s day employees purchased orange shirts stating ‘Jessica Supporter’ to provide money for the family.

Our thoughts and prayers are going to Ray in this time of need. A go-fund-me page was set up to help with ongoing medical bills at https://www.gofundme.com/support-jessicas-transplant.
