Aramark volunteers pack 450-plus care kits for breast cancer patients
Aramark employees across six states assembled more than 450 comfort packages for people diagnosed with breast cancer in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The company’s fifth annual Hope Kit packing event supported the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Hope Kit Program held annually in October. Volunteers filled kits with comfort items, personal care products and handwritten notes.
Aramark Community Relations led the initiative in partnership with the foundation and Empower, Aramark’s employee resource group for women and allies, as part of the company’s commitment to service and community.
In Philadelphia, more than two dozen volunteers packed 50 kits at Aramark’s global headquarters. Another 220 employees assembled 200 kits and wrote encouragement cards during a town hall for global supply chain. Aramark Nexus employees led the Mobeetie, Texas, project, where volunteers packed 50 kits. Nashville volunteers also assembled 50 kits, while teams in Portland, and Phoenix packed 25 each. In Rockville, Md., 21 employees from multiple business lines participated in a packing event.
