Los Angeles, CA, Mayor Eric Garcetti is looking to raise the city’s minimum wage from $9 per hour to $13.50 by 2017, according to the LA Times. The minimum wage would then continue to increase with the Consumer Price Index for the Los Angeles area. One business leader predicts the wage increase will lead to job losses due to companies moving to cheaper locations. Full article.
