CHICAGO, IL – MAY 8, 2020 – Today, NAMA announces a four part mini-series:  Listening & Leading:  Back to Business.  Featuring a condensed, 20-minute format, each webinar is designed to share peer-to peer learning and expert analysis, focused on the process of getting “up and running.”

Tuesday & Thursday, May 19 and 21, 2 p.m. EST: Employment Legal issues and Risk Mitigation

Industry legal consultant Heather Bailey of SmithAmundsen will share information employers need to know so they can evaluate employment issues and risks as they attempt to return to a “new normal” and restore their business as employees return to work.

On May 19, Bailey will focus on alleviating medical risks, such as who pays for PPE, checking temperatures at the door, confidentiality and avoiding discrimination claims and pitfalls.  The May 21 session will examine the process of diminishing the threat of workers’ compensation and OSHA claims related to the pandemic.

“Everyone wants to get back to work.  As employers, we need to make sure we’re doing it right, not only for our employees and customers, but for ourselves as operators to reduce any potential employment risks and liability,” said Bailey, NAMA Knowledge Source Partner.
