Statesville, NC Police Seek Vending Truck Safe Thief

The Statesville Police Department in Statesville, NC, is searching for a person suspected of breaking into a vehicle servicing Canteen vending machine locations and stealing roughly $1,000 from the safe inside, according to Statesville Record & Landmark. The thief was caught on video prying up the rear vehicle door and then breaking into the safe mounted to the truck. He drove off in an older, red Nissan extended cab pickup with white stripes and graphics on the sides. The same suspect is thought to be responsible for at least one additional truck break-in.
