Vending Company Discusses Cashless Technology In News Interview

Offering a cash-only option at vending machines doesn’t make as much sense as it used to, according to FOX 54 WFXG. In an interview with the source, Greenville, SC-based Canteen Vending Services general manager Stuart Touchton noted that he sees the Millennial generation not carrying cash.

Touchton noted that the company operates around 4,000 vending machines, with 90 percent having a cashless option.

For those consumers worried about card information being stolen when they swipe at the machine, Touchton notes that the technology is PCI compliant.

Deveren Werne, vice president of Liquid Technologies, points out, however, that consumers should still check the machines for skimmers before they use them. Read the full article here.
