Hain Celestial Faces Lawsuit For False Advertising

Oct. 29, 2013

A class action lawsuit for false advertising was filed against Hain Celestial Group Inc. for alleged false claims on BluePrintJuice and BluePrintCleanse products, according to Top Class Actions. The product labels advertised the items were made with “unpasteurized”, “100 percent raw” and “raw and organic” materials. The lawsuit claims that since the juices undergo high pressure processing (HPP) treatment, benefits of probiotics, vitamins and nutrients become neutralized, whereas they would be retained in a raw unpasteurized juice. Hain Celestial acquired BluePrint brand in 2012. Full article.
