Editor’s Insight: According to this report, the school had students sample products from four different vending companies before deciding which company to award the bid to. This is an excellent way for a school to encourage students to use the machine. The students reportedly were surprised that nutritious snacks could also taste good.

Schools that replace traditional vending machines with machines that adhere to strict nutrition rules usually have to go out of their way to get students to buy from the machines.
