There’s a nontraditional vending machine now located in the San Jose International Airport. The Google Project Fi Travel Trolley vending machine, across from Gate 25, offers free travel-related items like sleep masks, socks and charging cables, according to AndroidPolice.com, but there’s a catch: only Project Fi subscribers can get them.
To receive a free travel item from a Project Fi vending machine:
- On your Fi device, call *#*#FLYWITHFI#*#* (*#*#359948434#*#*).
- This will generate a unique QR code on your screen.
- Use the scanner on the vending machine to scan the QR code from your phone.
- Choose your item.
Once you've used your QR code, you can only use it again after 24 hours.
