Five Star acquires Heart of Georgia Vending
Heart of Georgia Vending, an operator with more than 150 vending machines in the greater Macon area, has been acquired by Five Star Breaktime Solutions. The acquisition, Five Star’s third this month, deepens its presence in Middle Georgia. The newly acquired service locations will be integrated into Five Star’s local Macon operations.
Heart of Georgia Vending was founded by Richard Rustin in 1996. Rustin had previously worked at Coca-Cola for two decades, and he leveraged that experience to build his company to more than 150 vending machines.
What they are saying
“After nearly three decades in business, the time felt right to step away and enjoy more time with my wife, Wendy, and our grandchildren,” said Richard Rustin in a release announcing the sale. “I’m proud of what we’ve built and have full confidence that Five Star will continue serving our customers with the same dedication.”
“On behalf of the entire Five Star team, we thank Richard for entrusting us with the legacy of Heart of Georgia Vending. We look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service while introducing new offerings to enhance the breaktime experience for current and future customers,” said Pat Barger, director of mergers and acquisitions for Five Star, in a release.
