Costa Rica Predicts Decline In Coffee Production

Oct. 11, 2016

Coffee harvest for the 2016-2017 season in Costa Rica is expected to drop 6.4 percent over the previous year, reports QCosta Rica.

The Coffee Institute of Costa Rica expects that about 2.069 million bushels will be harvested compared with 2.211 million in the 2015-2016 season. The reason for the drop could be due to the cyclicality of coffee production.
