ICO Reports Growing Disparity Of Arabica And Robusta Coffees For April

According to the International Coffee Organization (ICO), Arabica and Robusta prices headed in opposite directions in April 2016. Arabica prices dropped after a rally in March, and Robusta’s increased to a record monthly average since November.

For the first half of the year, the coffee market should be well supplied, with ICO reporting that total exports are estimated to be up by 1.6 percent to 55.5 million bags. Some concerns do linger over Robusta availability however.
