Equity Firm Acquires Private Label Salty Snack Manufacturer Shearer’s Foods

Shearer's Foods, which claims to be the largest producer of private-label salty snacks in North America and the largest producer of kettle-cooked potato chips in the world, based in Brewster, Ohio, has agreed to be acquired by Wind Point Partners, a private equity firm in Chicago, Ill., according to Crain’s Cleveland Business in Cleveland, Ohio.
