According to CBWDFW, JetBlue created a program called Soar with Reading that will help get books from libraries in Houston, TX to young people in need. During the month of December, the vending machine that JetBlue installed as a part of the Soar with Reading initiative will dispense 25,000 books for kids up to 14 years old. The books are donated in partnership with Simon & Shuster Children's Publishing. Since the creation of Soar with Reading, it has supplied nearly $3,000,000 worth of books for children in need.
