Vending Operators Needed To Speak On GMO Labeling

Aug. 15, 2017
The NAMA Government Affairs Team recently released a report that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is currently gathering comments for a proposed rule-making on consumer-facing labels regarding food and beverage products, including Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO). The USDA has specifically asked if vending machines should be required to display a label, therefore, NAMA is encouraging all operators to make their voice heard. The association has drafted a letter urging the USDA not to mandate GMO labeling on vending machines. Find the letter here.

The deadline for comments is August 25, 2017.
