The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested two suspects, Lee Ann England and Margaret Lynne Williams, after a warning from a sheriff’s office in Florida to be on the lookout for ‘slugs’, the term for currency used to defraud vending machines, according to Montgomery Advertiser.
The suspects, along with an unidentified man, allegedly used illegal slugs to steal money from Florida vending machines before moving on to others. The suspects were found with a notebook detailing the location of each machine they hit and a $1 bill and $5 bill altered to trick vending machines.
