FDA Pushes Menu Labeling Deadline Back For Restaurants

The Food and Drug Administration has extended the deadline another year requiring restaurants and other establishments to provide calorie labels on menus, according to an announcement on July 9, 2015. The menu labeling final rule had an original compliance date of December 2015. The industry told the FDA additional time was needed and the agency agreed.

The vending industry had already won a two-year compliance deadline of December 2016 with efforts from the industry and NAMA.
