Columbus, OH, Healthy Vending Operator Accepts Calorie Labeling Rule In Stride

Melodye Demastus, founder of Healthy Vending 4U in Columbus, OH, isn't concerned about the Food and Drug Administration's final rule about calorie disclosure being required on vending machines, according to Columbus Business First. She told the business journal that the machines she provides have touchscreens which show the nutritional information for each product. The variety of items in her machines are based on surveys of the location and include mostly healthy options, but not all. She is reported as saying that she doesn't believe in being the "food police." Full article.
