(CHICAGO) November 10, 2014 – NAMA announced the results of the first annual NAMA Foundation Golf Classic, held at the Cowboys Golf Course in Dallas.
The event, sponsored by Newco, DS Services, Avanti Markets, Vistar and Gourmet Coffee Service, included nine foursomes who enjoyed a beautiful round on the world’s only NFL-themed golf course.
Taking home the first place finish was a foursome from Royal Cup (Todd Byers, Chris Bailey, Eric Watts and Bryant Bosley), with second place going to a group including Stu Case, NAMA Chair Pete Tullio and NAMA Chair Emeritus Mark Dieffenbach. Other big winners of the day included “Closest to the Pin” winners Richard Schramm, Phil Sikes, Tom Bauer and Terry Touchton as well as Eric Watts of Royal Cup, who went home with a football autographed by Dallas Cowboys Legendary Quarterback Troy Aikman.
“It was a great first-time golf event benefiting the important work of the foundation and we are thankful for the support of our sponsors and golfers,” said Lindsey Nelson, NAMA Foundation Executive Director.
“We’re also encouraging participation, even virtually, in our silent auction being held now and our live auction taking place at the CTW host hotel, the Hyatt Regency. These initiatives are part of an effort to support the Foundation in new, exciting ways,” said Nelson.
