(CHICAGO) September 5, 2014 – The NAMA Foundation is pleased to announce the three recipients of its inaugural NAMA Scholars scholarship program, said Lindsey Nelson, NAMA Executive Director of Development/NAMA Foundation.
Crystal Simpson, District Operations Manager at Canteen Vending San Diego, Tony Kevin Posey, Operations Manager at Canteen L.C. Vending and Gary Nelson, President of Liberty Bell Vending, will each be awarded full program scholarships and a travel stipend to attend the 2014 NAMA Executive Development Program at Michigan State University. Each scholarship is valued at $3,775.
“These high-achieving industry leaders distinguished themselves among their peers as leaders who have already made significant contributions within their own company and who show incredible promise as a leader in the vending and refreshment services industry,” Nelson said. “The Foundation received over twenty applicants in this first year, which we consider a great success and which demonstrates the tremendous need and desire of NAMA members to pursue continuing industry education opportunities.”
Due to the success of this program in this first year, the Foundation plans to accelerate its annual fundraising efforts, the proceeds of which directly benefit the Foundation’s cornerstone programs such as NAMA Scholars.
