CDA honors industry leadership at 2025 CDBX; Andy Plummer elected 2026 chair
The Convenience Distribution Association (CDA) announced new leadership appointments and honored industry contributors during its 2025 Convenience Distribution Business Exchange (CDBX) in Phoenix in September.
Andy Plummer, president and COO of Amcon Distributing Co., was elected to serve as CDA’s 2026 chair. With more than two decades in convenience distribution, Plummer has held multiple leadership positions within the organization, including treasurer and chair of the Finance and Audit Committee. He said he looks forward to representing distributors across the country and continuing CDA’s mission to strengthen the industry.
“It’s a great honor to step into the role of chair of CDA,” Plummer said. “I take great pride in this responsibility, as it means representing the hard-working convenience wholesale distributors who are the backbone of our industry.”
CDA President and CEO Kimberly Bolin was recognized with the association’s Distinguished Leadership Award, honoring her years of service and dedication to advancing the convenience distribution sector. Bolin joined CDA in 2009 and became president and CEO in 2016, guiding the association through major transitions and strengthening its role as a national voice for distributors.
“I couldn’t have dreamed of a career more perfect than this or better colleagues than all of you,” Bolin said. “One of the things so special about this industry is how everyone gathers together to do all they can to support one another.”
In addition, CDA named Jebb Maginnis of Creative Data Research (CDR) as its 2025 Dean of the Industry. The honor recognizes individuals who have demonstrated enduring partnership and support for convenience distribution.
“Jebb is a man of quiet strength and steady integrity,” Bolin said. “Although he is not one to seek the spotlight, his presence is felt through the meaningful connections he creates and the dependable support he gives to those around him.”
The CDBX event brought together distributors, manufacturers and suppliers to discuss emerging trends, strengthen partnerships, and celebrate leadership within the $102 billion convenience distribution industry.
