Hershey CEO John P. Bilbrey shared an update on the significant progress-to-date and expansion plans for the company’s shared social purpose, Nourishing Minds. Launched one year ago, Nourishing Minds leverages Hershey’s deep expertise in food production to provide children in the United States and abroad with the basic nutrition they need to learn and grow.
Hershey aims to nourish one million minds by 2020. Building on the successful programs started last year in the U.S. and West Africa, the company is expanding Nourishing Minds with new partnerships in China and Canada. In the U.S., Hershey has provided 109,250 meals to 13,230 children through Feeding America partnership; building with additional support for child hunger programs.
