NAMA announced that Illinois Congressman Brad Schneider (D- Ill.) visited Mark Vend on Oct. 31, 2013.
“Congressman Schneider’s visit to Mark Vend was an effective way to demonstrate the power and scope of small business and our industry,” said Eric Dell, NAMA's senior vice president of government affairs, in a prepared statement. “He is a supporter of small business and during this visit, Congressman Schneider enhanced his understanding of industry-specific issues, including taxation, coin and currency and nutrition.”
“We were honored to host Congressman Schneider here at our facilities," said Mark Stein, co-owner of Mark Vend in Northbrook, Ill. “After our first meeting in Washington, D.C. in June, we have been looking forward to this opportunity to show him Mark Vend’s commitment to our customers and our employees, whom he personally interacted with during the town hall meeting. As a small business, we represent a growth opportunity, creating valuable jobs that directly support local economies across his district and beyond,” he continued.
“This is a great example of advocacy in action. We thank Mark Stein for his time in developing this relationship which benefits our association and industry overall,” said Dell.
