East Orange, NJ Adopts Healthy Vending Policy

East Orange, NJ, has adopted a healthy vending machine policy that requires machines to offer at least 30 percent of snacks that meet the USDA HHS/GSA guidelines in all seven municipal buildings, Tap Into reports. The machines must also display a MYPLATE.gov graphic, designed to remind users to think about eating choices before making a vending machine purchase.
