Pinch Spice Market has created what it claims is the world's first spice vending machine. Throughout the pandemic, customers have been stopping by the spice maker’s factory and picking up spice products with a swipe of a credit card.
"We're an online shop, we don't have a traditional brick and mortar store, said Meaghan Thomas, co-owner of Pinch Spice Market. “This has saved us a lot of headaches during the pandemic, but we still want to be accessible to our local supporters. A spice vending machine just seemed like the perfect solution."
The vending machine was customized by Cleveland’s D&S Vending Inc. and decorated by Morgan Melto, art director and designer of the T!lt Group. The machine is located in the Louisville spice factory located at the Mellwood Arts Center at 1860 Mellwood Ave. Suite #268 (it's placed inside the doors near the rear loading dock). It's accessible to the public every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. It only accepts credit cards.
Pinch Spice Market is a couple-owned business that grinds spices and handcrafts blends. It sources fresh herbs and spices direct and fair trade from organic farmers all over the world, and ships all over the country.
