Kraft Foods Group was created in 2012 when Kraft Foods split into two companies, with Kraft Foods Group taking the North American grocery business. Its portfolio focused on center-store and refrigerated staples, including Kraft, Oscar Mayer, Maxwell House, Planters, Velveeta and Philadelphia. The company emphasized established grocery brands in the U.S. and Canada, while Mondelēz International took the global snacks business. In 2015, Kraft Foods Group merged with H.J. Heinz Co. to form the Kraft Heinz Co.
