LaRue Coffee & Roasterie Acquires Iowa Tea Distributor

LaRue Coffee & Roasterie announced that it has acquired an Iowa-based distributor of Shangri-La Tea. LaRue Coffee & Roasterie will acquire all the distributors’ customers and will provide these new customers with iced tea and potentially other products in the future.

The accounts serviced are restaurants in the Des Moines, Iowa and Omaha, Neb. metro areas. These new accounts will be serviced by LaRue's current route drivers, but as part of its overall growth goals, this deal brings the company closer to hiring more route drivers. Currently LaRue serves over 10,000 clients and ships more than 1,850 products nationwide, with daily route delivery in 12 states.

Shangri-La Tea Co. has not been acquired.
