Jarritos launches zero-calorie Mandarin Zero
Jarritos has introduced Mandarin Zero, a zero-calorie version of its Mandarin flavor soda. For convenience services operators, the move signals growing opportunities in better-for-you, zero-calorie beverages that maintain familiar flavor profiles. The rollout follows strong test-market results earlier this year and marks Jarritos’ first national zero-calorie launch.
According to Jarritos’ parent company, Novamex, more than 1,000 consumers participated in blind taste tests, with results showing no noticeable difference between the original Mandarin and Mandarin Zero.
“Fans have asked for a Jarritos option that fits zero-calorie lifestyles without losing the real fruit taste they love,” said Eric Delamare, director of marketing at Novamex, in a release. For the convenience and micro market channel, the product offers a recognizable brand name, strong crossover appeal in single-serve, four-pack and family-size glass bottle formats.
