Monster Energy Ultra adds zero sugar Wild Passion flavor

Monster Energy has expanded its Ultra line with Ultra Wild Passion, a zero-sugar energy drink with a passionfruit flavor. The flavor is available nationwide in 16-oz cans as part of the brand’s zero-sugar lineup.

According to Monster Energy, Ultra Wild Passion combines the sweet and tart taste of passionfruit with a citrus twist. The drink contains the company’s energy blend and is positioned for all-day consumption.

Monster Energy reports that interest in low and no-sugar energy drinks continues to rise, with almost half of energy drink consumers now preferring them. The company further said its Monster Energy Ultra line outsells its nearest competitors by more than $170 million. The company also noted that tropical profiles are trending across beverages and that passionfruit is among the more sought-after flavor profiles.

Ultra Wild Passion joins existing Monster Energy Ultra flavors, including Zero Ultra, Blue Hawaiian, Vice Guava, Sunrise and Strawberry Dreams.
