City officials in Philadelphia predict $2.3 million in revenue from the sweetened beverage tax in January, reports WPVI-TV, a local Philadelphia ABC News affiliate. That is only 30 percent of what is needed per month to hit the $91 million goal for the year, but as January was the first month of the new tax, it was expected to be lower.
