Judge Declares Philadelphia Soda Tax Valid, Dismisses Lawsuit
Judge Gary S. Glazer has tossed a lawsuit filed by the American Beverage Association and other companies against the City of Philadelphia pertaining to a soda tax that will take effect Jan. 1, according to Forbes.
The tax will add 1.5 cents per ounce to the cost of most sugary and diet beverages.
