Survey Reveals Labor Day C-Store Beverage Sales Dampened By Weather

Sept. 16, 2016

Convenience store sales of non-alcoholic beverages increased 4.2 percent over the Labor Day holiday weekend, lower than the previous years growth due to unfavorable weather in some areas, according to CSNews. The Wells Fargo Securities LLC’s Beverage Buzz survey revealed that although total beverage sales were up 4.5 percent in c-stores for the Labor Day holiday, that number was soft compared to the 6.2 percent jump in 2015.

The source reports that this year the weather was wetter and colder in some areas, and Hurricane Hermine negatively impacted sales in the Southeast region.
