South Carolina Hospital Charges Less For Diet Soda In Vending

Instead of banning all regular soda, the Medical University of South Carolina has teamed with the Coca-Cola Co. to encourage consumers to buy sugar-free products by pricing them lower than regular soft drinks, according to the Post and Courier. Regular soda in the vending machines is priced 5 cents more than diet soda or water. The money is then donated to the hospital's pediatric obesity program. Full article
