PepsiCo Inc. plans to start testing a new mid-calorie cola, Pepsi Next, at the end of July in Cedar Rapids, Ia. And Eau Claire, Wis., according to Beverage Digest, a beverage industry newsletter. The publication said the test will be in multiple channels, including grocery drug, convenience stores and mass merchandisers, including Walmart, and will last six months and will include 12-packs, 2-liter bottles and 20-ounce bottles.
