American Vending Sales is the original name of AVS Companies. It was founded in Chicago in 1971 by Frank Gumma Sr. as a used vending machine sales business, then expanded over decades into a distributor serving vending, amusement and gaming.
The company rebranded as AVS Companies in 2017 after an expansion that included the acquisitions of Lieberman Distributing, Midwest Equipment Sales and H.A. Franz & Co.
