Televend has expanded into the U.S. market, bringing technologies to modernize traditional vending machines with real-time data, bidirectional control and automated decision-making tools.

Televend’s T36 telemetry device, which the company describes as a universal control module, mounts between a vending machine control board and its payment systems. The module takes full control of the machine and communicates with Televend Cloud in real time, enabling more detailed operational insight than batch-style data reporting.

Instead of relying on periodic DEX pulls, the T36 streams transactions as they happen. Providing operators with live transaction data helps them optimize forecasting, route optimization, and faster responses to service issues on legacy equipment they may not want to replace.

Televend says the platform’s real-time connection supports a range of operational controls, including machine-by-machine planogram optimization, rules-based alerts and service ticketing, and automated warehouse ordering based on forecasted sales.

The company is also tying telemetry to payments through its TPAY 300 cashless system, which it says integrates with the T36 module. Televend says the setup supports dynamic pricing and automated calculations for sales tax and deposits.

A key capability Televend highlighted in 2025 is a tax-display function for RFID and near-field communication payments, which calculates and displays sales tax for each transaction. The company positions that feature as a way to address tax collection gaps that can occur when operators use all-in pricing or lack the ability to show tax at checkout.

Televend is not new to connected vending. The company says its vending management system connects more than 500,000 machines for more than 4,000 customers worldwide, and it is now expanding its footprint in North America.
