Nayax Ltd. inked a strategic partnership to serve as the preferred cashless payments provider for ChargeSmart EV, one of the fastest-growing electric vehicle charging networks in the United States.

Under the partnership, ChargeSmart will expand its deployment of Nayax VPOS Touch card readers across its network, with plans to launch thousands of new direct current (DC) fast chargers over the next several years. The move aims to improve accessibility and streamline payments for drivers at charging stations.

ChargeSmart also will integrate Nayax’s e-commerce software development kit (SDK) for EV charging into its mobile application. The technology provides a unified omnichannel experience, allowing customers to pay both in-app and on-site through a single Nayax platform. This integration is designed to eliminate the need for multiple payment systems, improving reliability, simplifying operations and providing a consistent experience for users and operators.

Aaron Greenberg, chief strategy officer at Nayax, said the collaboration reinforces the company’s goal of becoming a leading payment solution provider in the EV charging market.

The companies said the partnership will enhance the accessibility and convenience of public and commercial EV charging infrastructure, supporting the continued growth of the U.S. electric vehicle ecosystem.

Why This Matters

  • Nayax provides payment and management solutions for the vending and unattended retail industries. Its technology enables operators to accept multiple payment methods, track sales in real time, and manage operations remotely through integrated platforms.
  • The expansion of Nayax’s SDK offers potential cross-industry applications for vending, micro markets, and OCS systems.
  • Seamless, unified payment systems may become an expectation across all unattended retail environments.
