Learn from Verizon and Cantaloupe experts about the move from 3G to 4G LTE

June 2, 2021

Many unattended retail operators are unsure of what the transition from 3G to 4G LTE means for their business, wrote Cantaloupe blogger Madison Barr.

Early this year, unattended retail tech company Cantaloupe Inc., formerly USA Technologies, hosted wireless communications experts to participate in a UR Tech Insiders podcast.

The episode, presented by Cantaloupe marketing vice-president Elyssa Steiner, featured Verizon’s Jodi Bogen, whose expertise is B2B markets, and Aaron Feitne, a Version IoT partner. In the episode, the trio discuss the importance of moving from 3G to 4G, along with the future capabilities of 5G.

“Some of the benefits of 4G include the consistency of the network,” said Barr, Cantaloupe’s content marketing manager. “Think about how much we rely on the network today, and the implications to our business when there are blips or outages. The trickle-down effect is endless. However, with greater capabilities and consistent connectivity, the 4G network will improve the customer experience.”
